Step Two: Relationship Skills - for adults, teens, kids and infants
Learn how to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, “read” people, and undo the bad habits that you picked up in childhood. Learn the rules of fair play in relationships and why you need to put ethics above all else. It’s fun, fascinating and transformative in a safe and non-judgmental environment. Many people say it is their first experience having deep, connected dialogue with their partner or child. It works just as well for singles too.
The primary focus of these ongoing workshops is to teach communication and relationship skills to adults and/or children within the context of the Causal Theory.
You will learn:
- life skills
- problem solving
- effective communication
- ethics and morals
- anger management
- self-esteem
- understanding your effect on people and their effect on you
- perceptions versus projections
Participants in all relationship skills workshops learn to give and receive feedback, which we call mirroring. We teach students how to say what they want to say with more skill so that their point of view may be taken more seriously. We teach students how to have a clean fight. Workshops meet twice monthly. The groups are categorized as follows:
Relationship Skills Workshop for Adults
- Couples and singles discuss interpersonal relationship issues and receive feedback and mirroring and then are offered replacement skills by the facilitator. One need not be a parents to participate.
- Four hours, two times monthly, led by varying therapists, interns and coaches at varying rates.

Teen Skills Workshops
- Teens meet alone once monthly and meet with parents once monthly to discuss and problem-solve family and teen issues.
- 2 hours, two times monthly
- There are two different Teen Workshops. One is led by TIPP’s Executive Director Stacy Moya and another is led by Dr. MJ and Daren.

Kids Workshops
- Kids group focuses on relationships with parents, siblings and peers
- Two hours, twice per month
- Parents and children attend together
- Led by Executive Director Stacy Moya.

Infant and Bonding Workshop
- This group focuses on healthy bonding, attachment and separation
- One and a half hours, monthly
- Led by Dr. Faye and Dr. MJ
- Parents and babies attend
